Biography
Mr. Ashok Kumar Singh is a highly accomplished Advocate-on-Record of the Supreme Court of India with an extensive and distinguished practice spanning more than three decades. He has been practicing before the Supreme Court of India since 1987 and qualified the Advocate-on-Record Examination in 1992. Throughout his career, Mr. Singh has held several prestigious appointments, reflecting the confidence reposed in him by various governmental authorities. He served as Standing Counsel for the State of Madhya Pradesh before the Supreme Court of India for a period of ten years commencing on 18 March 1997. He was subsequently empanelled as Counsel for the State of Uttar Pradesh before the Supreme Court from 14 August 2001 onwards. In 2009, he was appointed as Standing Counsel for the Central Agency by the Government of India, and in 2015, he was appointed as Special Standing Counsel for the State of Haryana in matters concerning inter-state water disputes. Mr. Singh has advised and represented Central and State Governments, Public Sector Undertakings, statutory bodies, corporations, multinational enterprises, and private individuals across a wide spectrum of complex legal matters.
